Manufacturing Control Analyst - 2nd Shift

Summary of the Position:

The Manufacturing Control Analyst is responsible for coordinating work order activities to ensure appropriate inventory and labor resources. This position also monitors the accuracy of production reporting and researches all discrepancies.

Functions of the Position:

Releases work orders based on the needs of the daily production schedule. Prints case and pallet ID labels.Performs a detailed review and analysis of inventory data to monitor accuracy of production reporting and communicates problem areas to management. Ensures that scanning transactions and corrections are done accurately and in a timely manner. Troubleshoots and investigates quantity discrepancies between stock, documentation, and inventory system (WMS/QAD).Runs work order variance reports. Calculates variance percentages and investigates any variances exceeding acceptable tolerances. Makes all necessary corrections.Performs data entry. Reports work order labor and closes work orders in QAD.Runs and follows scheduling report for work cell. Communicates any problems/issues with scheduler. Responds to emails in a professional and timely manner.Creates, prioritizes, and distributes WMS work order demands.Audits production locations and makes any needed corrections after distinguishing from the different types of adjustment needed in the system: receipts, production used, production return, scrap, samples, and cycle count. Creates work orders and/or modifies work order pick list when necessary.Responsible for manufacturing, distributing, and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following current good manufacturing practices, allergen/sanitation controls, food defense/food fraud, HACCP/FSMA, SQF, and regulatory requirements.Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills, and information within assigned team and across functional areas.Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.Responsible to comply with all safety policies and procedures established for health and workplace safety.Responsible to support safety culture by practicing safe work behaviors, reporting potential hazards, and conducting safety observations.

Qualifications:

Education, Experience, and Knowledge:

High school diploma or equivalent required.Two plus years inventory control or manufacturing experience.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

Forklift certification, preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Good computer skills including Outlook, WMS, and Excel.Good math aptitude required. Knowledge of mathematical concepts such as percentages and unit of measure conversions.Ability to work independently and in a group setting.Able to work under pressure.High attention to detail, organized, and ability to prioritize workload.Strong analytical skills. Ability to solve complex problems in a timely manner.
