Job DescriptionPerform investigations, trials, and improvements in manufacturing processes.Set up machines and devices to prepare investigations as indicated.Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and quality plans according to company standards (including process flow diagrams, control plans, PFMEA, PQIs, process control documentation, standard work instructions, etc).Identifies and resolves quality issues related to automated assembly technology.Mentors hourly skilled associates in proactive maintenance of assigned processes, including development of qualification cards and other training material.Support and perform PPAP activities related to assigned processes.Identify and lead projects to improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and utilization of manufacturing processes in order to meet Policy Deployment objectives.Actively participate in daily management of area using MES and other analytics/data to meet targets and derive measures to continuously improve performance.QualificationsBS in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) and 3+ years technical experience.Hands-on experience with highly automated equipment technologies- such as press/torque, robots, automated axis systems, vision systems, and feeding systems.Mechanical tool and hardware design/upgrade experience.Programming experience desirable (PLC programming, C#, Python, HTML/Javascript)Experience with data analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc)Experience in high volume/technology manufacturing processes within the automotive industry preferred.Ability to read and define electric drawings, pneumatic and/or hydraulic plans.Experience with lean manufacturing systems and concepts (BPS).Project leadership skills and the ability to prioritize workload to meet established targets.Ability to work on cross-functional teams with a high degree of self initiative.Experience utilizing problem solving techniques to solve complex manufacturing issues (Six Sigma, Shainin, 5 whys).Ability to travel (including internationally) for training, projects, and IPN activities.Additional Information
