This position is responsible for, but not limited to, supporting the manufacturing organization as the expert in assembly and testing processes. This individual will be based in the Longmont, CO branch.
Position Accountabilities:
Evaluate and improve assembly and testing processes.
Develop and maintain procedures and forms in support of assembly and testing processes.
Lead process improvement teams as needed.
Support Corrective Action teams/investigations as required.
Document and submit Engineering Change Requests as needed.
Provide training support on assembly and test skills and procedures to manufacturing technicians.
Support introduction of new products into manufacturing.
Collaborate with design engineering in the design/development of new products for manufacturability.
Develop quality requirements for suppliers in order to ensure incoming controls meet requirements in support of quality and on time delivery performance.
Coordinate (and perform as necessary) repair and maintenance of manufacturing tools and equipment.
Perform additional duties as directed from management.
Required Skills:
Knowledge of Mechanical and/or Chemical processes.
Strong communication skills / ability to work collaboratively with production personnel.
Proficient with MS Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical production issues.
Preferred Skills:
Lean manufacturing principles
Knowledge of MRP systems
Quality assurance/control- RCA, 5 Why
