Day to Day:
- Reviewing output from previous day to produce action plans
- Spending as much time on the shop floor as possible (preventative more reactive work to resolve issues sooner than later)
- Engineers own the output (what is the line capable of reliably, are we maximizing this, what labor do they need and where etc.)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.\tUnderstand the product and its intended operation (form, fit and function). Assist production, maintenance, and quality in the debug of production processes.
2.\tPreparation/revisions of Process Flow Diagrams, Operation sheets, and Standing Operating Procedures (SOP's).
3.\tMonitor and analyze production processes to improve performance, efficiency, and reject rates.
4.\tSupport resolution of technical issues, and report on all current technical issues and status during weekly meetings and / or management reviews.
5.\tLead Failure Analysis efforts related to production issues, performance issues, and critical characteristics.
6.\tGenerate Requests for Process Change forms and manage them through the approval process.
7.\tGenerate ECP’s and RFV’s as needed.
8.\tMain internal technical point of contact for assigned programs.
9.\tSupport Configuration Control of the Technical Data Packages associated with the products produced.
10.\tDefine process control (including SPC) requirements for production processes.
11.\tParticipate in risk assessment for production operations.
12.\tParticipate in Build Readiness Reviews (BRR’s), Test Readiness Reviews (TRR’s) and Production Readiness Reviews (PRR’s).
13.\tParticipate in line set-up including layout, flow, equipment, storage, etc.
14.\tRequest / Issue SWO numbers
15.\tBuild and analyze test samples to understand design margin and/or variation in product performance.
16.\tCreate / Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for assigned programs.
17.\tBuild pre-FAAT and/or pilot and/or engineering test samples
18.\tSupport customer technical requests and questions; provide resultant effects to production processes and performance
19.\tSupport / assist Quality and Purchasing in resolution of supplier issues
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience
- Four year degree is not necessary… relevant experience is key
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
