You will work closely with design engineers, quality teams, production staff, and suppliers to ensure that all manufacturing processes meet the high standards required in the aviation or automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes and tooling for new and existing products.
+ Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
+ Analyze production data and implement Lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and reduce cycle time.
+ Provide technical support for production line issues and implement root cause corrective actions (RCCA).
+ Collaborate with product design teams to ensure manufacturability (DFM/DFA) during the development phase.
+ Assist in the launch of new products and support the transfer of designs from prototype to full-scale production.
+ Select and validate equipment, fixtures, and process parameters using statistical methods (SPC, DOE).
+ Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards (e.g., AS9100, IATF 16949).
+ Participate in FMEA, PFMEA, and control plan development.
+ Support audits and regulatory inspections as needed.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
+ 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in the aerospace or automotive industry.
+ Strong understanding of production processes such as CNC machining, assembly, welding, composites, or injection molding.
+ Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX) and manufacturing planning tools (e.g., ERP, MES).
+ Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
+ Familiarity with quality systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
