Job Description

  

Manufacturing Engineer: Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies.  Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products. Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

Establish a strong focus on internal and external customer serviceDesigns layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiencyStrong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skillsProvide technical support and assist in resolution of manufacturing problems as requiredConfers with design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure proficient production methodsConfers with vendors to resolve equipment, materials and/or quality issues that are impacting the quality of the end product being producedApplies statistical methods to analysis of key manufacturing processes and controlsComprehensive knowledge of BOM structure and change control processComprehensive understanding of product line designs and project cost make-upStrong attention to detailTeam player in pursuit and support of cost reduction activities to achieve company goalsGood interpersonal and training skillsAbility to work independently, resolve technical and manufacturing issues without detailed direction and work as part of a teamCapability to accurately and efficiently work on multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to travel “as required” to customer site(s) to provide technical support and trainingTakes a lead role in the identification, purchase and implementation of new equipment utilized on the manufacturing floorKeeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair service following manufacturer’s recommendations and established procedures

Job Requirements

BS degree in engineering or related discipline1 years working experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or related engineering positionMinimum of 15 years working experience in a directly related position of responsibility with demonstrated engineering competency may be considered in place of formal college degree with associated experienceSolid works experience a plusDemonstrates accuracy and proficiency in execution of job responsibilitiesStrong key contributor with emerging leadership capabilities demonstratedPC, and CAD literate
