Job Overview

Komatsu is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical assistance to manufacturing by evaluating methods and equipment to reduce manufacturing cost. This role will assist in the implementation of capital projects develop new and improved manufacturing methods, provide solutions to daily manufacturing issues, and explore and develop cost improvement opportunities.

Key Job Responsibilities

Work safe and be an advocate for safety.
Plans and designs manufacturing processes in industrial plant.
Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force 
utilization. Determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to 
product specification. Develops step-by-step methods for making the products
Communicates effectively with the management, plant personnel, and individuals outside the company. 
Identify and reports any cost improvements.
Arranges for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluates them according to 
specifications and
quality standards.

Qualifications/Requirements

Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering: Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Electrical Technology
Minimum 2-5 years relevant work experience
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing manufacturing efficiency
Experience with dimensional mechanical measurement tools, micrometers, calipers, hardness testers, etc.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), AutoCAD, solid modeling software such as SolidWorks
