RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Utilize lean manufacturing tools to streamline operations throughout plant via changes to workstation layout, material handling, or processing.Write area Standard Operating Procedures and Engineering Procedures as required and review operator training procedures.Develop protocol for qualifying new operators.Initiate process trials to determine most cost-effective way to deliver a quality part to our customers.Develop scorecard for quality metrics defined by Eastlake Handling scrap category.Develop additional daily metrics as needed to reduce scrap, rework and process variationDevelop plans to improve operator related scrap and communicate improvement timeline to management.Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors.Position supports all shifts and candidate must demonstrate a willingness to work any shift required when the need arises.Confer with engineering, quality, manufacturing, outside vendors and other representatives, including customers, in planning, scheduling, coordinating and implementing NPI’s (fixture requirements etc).Audit and continuously improve snag/CNC processes and product produced by those processes to reduce variation seen at finishing, visual and dimensional.Assure reliability of the process.Other duties as assigned.  

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, or other related Engineering discipline.Experience in using Lean Manufacturing tools like Kaizen, TPM, 6S, Standard Work, Kan-Ban, Poka-Yoke.Experience performing time studies a plus.Basic knowledge of production processes, machine tooling and operations, hand tools and automation concepts and practices required.Expertise in use of Microsoft Office Products (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access) required. /*generated inline style */   All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran. /*generated inline style */ Relocation
