Our Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesMettler Toledo is seeking to hire a Manufacturing Engineer for its AM HUB location in Columbus, Ohio, responsible for the implementation and maintenance of manufacturing processes such as line efficiencies, material flow, and lean principals. As a Manufacturing Engineer you will work closely with Line Associates, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely launch of new products and maintenance of line projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Optimize work center layouts, material flow and processes to improve productivity and eliminate wasteChampion Lean Manufacturing culture on the shop floorProvide root cause analysis support to eliminate disturbancesImprove product through-put by reducing overall lead timeWork with production teams to drive KPI improvementManage logistics of product launch and phase out activitiesMonitor and improve operational processesProvide daily work center tactical support Maintain knowledge of best-in-class processes for product configuration and assemblyDirect and implement lean and green activities to support MT Lean CultureWhat You Need to SucceedBachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical engineering or related field is preferredAssociate's degree in Industrial engineering or related field with 2 years of experience in a related field will be consideredA minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field is desiredLean certification is preferredMust have strong analytical skills Must have a good understanding of lean concepts and proper use of lean tools to support good business decisions
