Manufacturing Engineer – Technical Glass Products – Snoqualmie, WA 

   
At our Allegion location in Snoqualmie, WA our Manufacturing Engineer will lead, manage and drive continuous improvements within assigned core process areas of our manufacturing operations. 

  

What You Will Do:  

Lead and implement Lean Manufacturing tools & techniques (workshops, Kanban, visual management, 5S, total productive maintenance, set-up reduction, etc.) 

Use formal problem solving techniques to identify and resolve complex problems. 

Initiate and manage productivity and cost savings projects. 

Implement and maintain process controls through advanced quality planning techniques. 

Support research, evaluation, justification, and recommendation of capital equipment. 

Stay current with state-of-the art technologies and equipment. 

Participate in developing strategic manufacturing processes. Also assist in developing the short and long-range capital planning. 

Prepare and coordinate the implementation schedule for major projects and process changes. 

Develop and maintain process documentation (ie. routings, standard work, work instructions, setup sheets, etc.). 

Analyze proposed engineering changes for manufacturing impact and feasibility. 

Assist Purchasing and Quality Assurance in qualifying suppliers for new product or product changes. 

 

 

What You Need to Succeed:  

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing) 

Sound engineering and leadership skills 

Machining experience preferred

Demonstrated experience in analyzing and solving complex problems 

Demonstrated experience in Project Management 

Results-driven 

Knowledge and demonstrated skills in Lean Manufacturing 

Self-starter 

Ability to manage multiple projects / assignments simultaneously 

Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to build strong and sustainable relationships 

Skilled in team building and demonstrated experience in effectively working with cross functional teams to get results 

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Project, and AutoCAD

 Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experiences.

·        The expected Base Salary Range: $70,500 - $124,800. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Employment Type: Full-time, salaried exempt
