Purpose of Role:
Working with manufacturing team members, site leaders and support teams, to improve safety, cost, delivery and quality by identifying gaps and opportunities at the manufacturing site. Developing and implementing improvements, and documenting and communicating those solutions and their impacts to the wider organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture. Identify gaps and opportunities at ESCO's global manufacturing sites to improve safety, cost, delivery and quality, using process expertise, feedback from operations, data collection and review, risk assessment, and through our commitment to zero harm behavioursDevelop and execute projects to close identified gaps and opportunitiesEvaluation with structured problem solving and optimization of existing production processesDesign, modification, installation and commissioning of production systems, equipment, processes, and inspectionsResearch and development of advanced manufacturing solutions and process innovationsVerify benefits of completed projects and ensure project learnings are integrated into future projects


Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Engineering RequiredExperience with heavy industry and welding is a plusExperience in a manufacturing environment, working with operators, technicians, and maintenance personnelProcess expertise with fabrication, fixturing, and material handling processes, particularly plasma transferred arc welding, robotic welding, induction heating and/or work holding for automationAbility to read and interpret product drawings and specifications, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Experience implementing manufacturing process improvements, equipment design and commissioning, etc.Experience in value stream mapping, cause mapping/root cause analysis, failure modes and effects analysis, hazard risk assessment, network diagrams, etc.Process automation and fixturing, Lean tools such as standardized work, single minute exchange of dies, or mistake proofing, Design for Manufacturability, etc.Eligible and available for domestic and international travel as required by assignments; expected travel typically <10%
