Job Description
Manufacturing Engineers (Machining) design new products, provide engineering support for existing products, develop components for application to new or existing products, and reduce costs for existing designs conducted independently and as part of a team environment. In this role you will support existing production products and technical assignments that support larger projects. Select techniques to solve problems and make sound process and programming recommendations using vertical (Fanuc, Fadal, Robodrills, etc.) and horizontal machines (Makino, etc.) and lathes (Okuma, etc.) to assess results to meet the established design standard and meet customer specifications. Develop and apply automation technology systems (Fanuc, Epson, etc.), vision systems, laser QR etching. Develop and support quality inspections (Keyence, Marposs, Hexagon, etc.).

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Sullivan, Illinois.
Work Environment
New Engineer will be assigned to a product support team, assisting CNC set up operators, processing ECNs, controlling costs, and reducing cycle and task times. The role involves procurement of new equipment and working on a team of 6 Engineers, 1 Engineering Technician, and 1 Process Technician led by an Engineering Team Leader. The work environment includes cross-functional responsibilities, shadowing setup operators, and a defined support structure with a mentor. The schedule is 7:00am - 4/4:30pm (flexible) with occasional night calls roughly once a month. Busy times are cyclical with higher activity in winter months and slower summer months.
