Manufacturing Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. This role will also recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods and controls.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Designs, develops, tests and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methodsProvides technical support, performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiencyLeads all aspects of assigned engineering projectsLeads project budgets, including outside suppliers and contractorsLeads new equipment purchase, installation/implementation and training team membersRepresents manufacturing on multi-functional teamsSupports production, quality, safety and lean initiatives to improve OEE and overall facility performancePerforms other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum of 5 years’ experience in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering roleMust have minimum 5 years’ troubleshooting in a manufacturing environmentExperience with CAPEX submissions and management Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen events (Continuous Improvement)Experience in 3D design software such as AutoCAD or Solidworks with the ability to interpret, design and modify tooling and machine layout drawingsTravel 10-15%
