Manufacturing Engineer
Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for developing the entire process for manufacturing a part, from selecting the raw materials to defining each step required to produce the part, and overseeing the end of manufacturing. You will create the processes and tooling necessary for production and improve existing processes, planning for new processes or equipment. Your work will involve approximately 60-65% New Product Introduction projects and 35-40% Sustaining/Legacy and Process improvement projects. Responsibilities + Develop entire manufacturing processes from raw material selection to final product. + Create and refine processes and tooling for production. + Plan and implement new processes and equipment to improve efficiency. + Work on New Product Introduction projects and Sustaining/Legacy projects. + Collaborate cross-functionally with machinists, tooling, machining, and molding departments. Essential Skills + Working knowledge of CNC programming (preferred software: Edgecam). + Proficiency in CAD modeling (preferred software: Inventor/Catia). + Hands-on experience with CNC machines, mills, and lathes. + Experience in Aerospace/Defense industry. + Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic measuring tools. + Capability to work independently on projects. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Hands-on troubleshooting experience with CNC equipment (preferred: HAAS, Makino, Fadal). + Project management and multitasking skills. + Leadership experience and ability to lead projects and collaborate. + Six Sigma certification (preferred). + Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred). + Ability to create G-Code for CNC machines. + Bachelor’s Degree in a related Engineering or Technology field. + Minimum of 1+ years hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. The role involves significant cross-functional collaboration with the machinists, tooling department, machining department, and molding department, with a strong emphasis on production floor interaction.
