Join PPG Aerospace's team at our Mojave, California batch manufacturing facility, where we produce the latest protective coatings and sealants for the aerospace industry. We're seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to help improve our manufacturing processes. Reporting directly to the Site Operations Manager of Aerospace Global Advanced Manufacturing, you'll work on-site to guide efficiency and quality in polymer production. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with cell management and operational personnel to implement on-time delivery, cost reduction, throughput improvement, and other OpEx projects
Define processes through training of operators and operations, working with cell managers, supervisors, and leads
Interact with maintenance, distribution, QC, planning/scheduling, procurement, and R&T teams at our Mojave facility
Engage with R&T, Global Advanced Manufacturing Technology (GAMT), and customers to develop new products/processes
Utilize Sigma Logic, Lean Enterprise, and Value Focus methodologies to maximize customer value and productivity
Provide clear and direct solutions to problems, backed by data evaluation and strategic planning
Collect and evaluate data, and develop plans for assignments that may involve design application
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in chemical engineering or another engineering discipline with related experience in chemical, coatings, or sealants required
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Salary Range $70,000 to $80,000 Depending on experience
