Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will support bringing the designed product into production. They are part of the team that acts as the 'glue/handyman' of the company and brings designs from multiple departments to life.

ResponsibilitiesTake product designs from multiple teams and transition them into manufacturingCreate and define the production process for manufacturing of the electronics productCreate tooling, jigs, and fixtures necessary for product manufacturing and assemblyDevelop processes, work instructions, and assembly fixturesEssential SkillsUnderstanding/experience of electronics manufacturing tools: soldering, assembly tools, fixtures, testing, etc.Experience and comfort doing the building of the product and being hands-on in a manufacturing environment: from cutting and soldering wires to using a hacksawSolidworks: Will use basic functions to design/create tooling, production aids, test fixtures, etc. Will also do some of the 'bookkeeping' of CAD and ensure BOMs are aligned to what's needed for productionAdditional Skills & QualificationsBSME or BSEE preferred, equivalent hands-on experience and some kind of vocational or community college education will be considered (candidate needs to understand foundational engineering concepts)1-5 years of experience (open to fresh grads with prior experience in shops or relevant internships)Understand/read prints and schematicsDirect electronics building experienceKnowledge of cabling and testingSW/HW integration/interface and testingSimple PCB design skills to potentially support other areas of the business, if neededWork Environment

On-site in Bingen, WA (across the river from Hood River, OR). The role will be based on the manufacturing floor in an office building.
