Job SummaryThe entry level manufacturing engineer will perform routine design, fabrication, modification, and/or evaluation in support of Daylight Defense’s laser manufacturing operations. May prepare plans, conduct support studies, and provide analysis or tests in the development of manufacturing operations. Responsibilities are limited to entry level engineer scope with support from senior engineers.
Job Responsibilities Draft manufacturing work instructions. Draft manufacturing and test process flows. Document test set ups and procedures. Execute laser manufacturing tests. Mature and improve existing manufacturing procedures. Validate processes and equipment/metrology. Document maintenance and calibration plans for manufacturing. Perform design of experiments (DOEs) to improve production and quality. Manufacture first “production” laser units: prototypes / engineering models / production readiness models Provide inputs for design for manufacturing and assembly to the design team. Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization. Job Responsibilities Part II Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering field and 0+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education/training and experience Specialties may include manufacturing, production, industrial, welding, tooling, testing, processing, software, and robotics Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
The pay scale for this position is $69,162/year - $93,347/year. The pay scale information is a general guideline only. Several factors can influence the pay scale for a position including but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic locations, business considerations, scope and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications.
U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
The expected pay scale for this position is $74,678/year - $93,347/year. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly.
