Job Description
Enhance and standardize operations including operator control panel interfacing, measurements, machine offsets, tool changes, resetting alarms, and coolant maintenance. Identify and implement Kaizen improvements such as short stop reduction, cause and effect identification/solution, fatigue reduction, and single piece flow. Utilize statistical methods to understand process variability, capability, and drive process improvements. Manage documentation such as SOPs, control plans, forms, check-sheets, inspection records, and engineering drawings. Support Business and Department Action Plan objectives focusing on scrap reduction, manpower streamlining, and cost reductions. Lead investigations and recommend cost reduction activities related to man, machine, methods, and materials. Apply Lean Manufacturing philosophies. Collect and interpret engineering data including machine cycle time, motion analysis, capacity planning, tooling design, ergonomics, process layout, and cost reduction. Select tools and consumable materials necessary for cost and time-efficient manufacturing. Collaborate with vendors to determine product specifications, support the purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards. Support plant activities to achieve customer awards and quality registrations. Prepare capital requests and synchronize site functions through all phases of process improvements including new assets, ensuring compliance with scope, cost, and schedule. Support activities centered on new product launches, technical problem-solving, process improvement, and resolving engineering design and quality challenges. Assist the Quality department in designing gauges and fixtures.

This is a fully on-site position in Winchester, Kentucky.
Work Environment
Our Client manufactures parts for ATVs and cars. Their main customer is Honda. Monday through Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM. Safety goggles required at all times on the floor. Hot, dirty manufacturing environment with an oil smell.
