Manufacturing Engineer
Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description The Manufacturing Engineer will develop engineering solutions to improve the manufacturing process for new and existing aerospace products. This role involves problem-solving using existing procedures and data analysis to make informed engineering decisions. The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with design teams to create the most efficient designs that align with manufacturing processes and capabilities. Additionally, this position will lead and manage a team of lower-level manufacturing engineers to continuously improve processes and enhance production. Responsibilities + Develop engineering solutions to enhance manufacturing processes for aerospace products. + Utilize problem-solving skills and data analysis to make engineering judgements. + Collaborate with design teams to ensure efficient designs that complement manufacturing capabilities. + Lead and manage a team of lower-level manufacturing engineers. + Continuously improve manufacturing processes and grow production. Essential Skills + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, or Aerospace preferred). + 8+ years of experience with 5+ years in composite manufacturing (preferred). + Proficiency in Solidworks or CATIA. + Experience with GD&T. + Knowledge of aerospace industry standards, including NADCAP and AS9100. + Strong problem-solving skills. + Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. + Ability to design tooling and processes for products. + Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with marketing, presentations, proposals, and cost estimating. + Familiarity with Minitab (preferred). + Experience with Ply Nesting software (Cutworks, Patternsmith) (preferred). + Background in composite manufacturing and process improvement. Work Environment The role is set in an industrial environment on a large aerospace production floor, with some work in cubicles. The position involves working on a legacy product line with composite molding. The work schedule follows a 9/80 format. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $145000.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
