Manufacturing Engineer

SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production and high-quality products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality.Design and implement new manufacturing systems and processes.Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement.Develop and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes.Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.Assists in the training of less-experienced personnel by leading and training teams in lean manufacturing.Design assembly processes (time studies, line balancing, material handling devices, material delivery systems).Maintain the QMS system to meet the requirements of the ISO9001:2008 certification.Coordinates maintenance personnel in support of equipment and facility requirements.Other duties as required.

Ability to learn the fundamentals of power transmission equipment.Able to read and interpret blueprints.Ability to perform necessary performance calculations for assigned products.Willingness to learn about all product groups.Ability to train others.Excellent communication skills to effectively, both written and verbally, to personnel at all levels of an organization.Operate a PC, Microsoft Office, and 3D CAD system.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related fieldExperience as a Manufacturing Engineer or similar experience.Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes.Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant tools.Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit for up to eight (8) hours, stand for up to one (1) hour, and walk around for about two (2) hours. The employee will frequently move up to ten (20) pounds, occasionally move up to twenty (40) pounds. The employee will perform the following activities; frequently be reaching, occasionally be stooping, crouching, and handling.

The work environment is mostly in an office setting doing sedentary work, occasionally in a production setting.
