Job Description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design products that meet specified management criteria with optimal manufacturability and minimal risk. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the Manufacturing team to develop methods for guiding products through the entire manufacturing process. Additionally, they will program engineering-related software to work with customer inputs for manufacturing purposes and manage internal and customer-supplied drawings, specifications, and other engineering-related documents.
ResponsibilitiesDesign products that meet management specifications with optimal manufacturability and minimal risk.Collaborate with the Manufacturing team to develop methods for taking products through the entire manufacturing process.Program engineering-related software to work with customer inputs for manufacturing purposes.Control internal and customer-supplied drawings, specifications, and other engineering-related documents.Assess stress calculations, design soundness, manufacturability, and risk.Troubleshoot installation issues with all manufactured products.Understand automation and product configuration.Manage projects effectively.Utilize SQL, Driveworks, and variable-driven methodologies.Essential SkillsExperience with SolidWorks for design purposes.Ability to assess stress calculations, design soundness, manufacturability, and risk.Troubleshooting installation issues with manufactured products.Understanding of automation and product configuration.Project management skills.Proficiency in SQL, Driveworks, and variable-driven methodologies.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or a minimum of five years' experience in engineering or a related field.Commitment to continuing education through courses and training, with reimbursement options available.Work Environment
The work environment is characterized by frequent proximity to moving mechanical parts and a noise level that is usually moderate to loud. The role involves 10-15% of time spent on the floor with shop personnel and 85% in a desk role. Physical demands include regularly sitting, using hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and talking or hearing. Occasionally, walking or standing, crouching, stooping, kneeling, or crawling, reaching with arms, and lifting and/or moving up to 25 lbs is required. Specific vision abilities needed include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00
