Job Description
Lead projects to improve machining, fabrication, and assembly operations by reducing costs, reducing lead times, and improving product quality. Work closely with project and engineering releases, production planning, and production personnel in developing work order routers and manufacturing documentation to process parts and materials. Select resources to manufacture parts effectively, provide instructions to maximize repeatability, and implement strategies to improve productivity. Provide estimates on material costs, special processing, and labor requirements for new products.
Responsibilities
+ Identify and implement manufacturing process solutions that will assist the department in achieving high quality, cost savings, and shortened lead times.
+ Influence process standardization, the development of work center capabilities, and improving capacities.
+ Review drawings for manufacturability, verify accuracy, and completeness.
+ Develop manufacturing routers: The set of detailed work instructions defining the sequence of operations, resources, labor standards, and special instructions required to manufacture a part.
+ Ensure router standards, operation structure, and BOM are accurate.
+ Problem-solve technical issues by interfacing with product engineering, SMEs, and production personnel.
+ Develop and implement work instructions, procedures, and other manufacturing documentation to enhance customer satisfaction and manufacturing performance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Formal technical/engineering Degree - BSME or other
+ At least 5+ years of experience
+ Proficiency with Lean manufacturing principles
+ Six Sigma training
+ Experience with continuous improvement for manufacturing
+ Experience with metallic, mechanical, or electro-mechanical components or products
+ Experience with manufacturing processes like CNC machining, welding, soldering, or complex work instructions for assembly
+ Ability to handle efficiency projects - plant layout of equipment and manufacturing lines, process layout projects, job travelers, cost reduction projects, and time reduction projects

We are expanding into a new space in the next 8 months, which will involve exposure to facilities, plant layout, equipment layout, and transfer projects into the new space.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $65.00
