Job Description
We are seeking an outstanding manufacturing engineer who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. You will be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical design and related analysis specifically for flight-critical avionics systems. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in mechanical engineering suited for both prototype and production-level designs.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop 3D and 2D mechanical designs for flight-critical avionics systems.Perform related analysis for mechanical and electronic systems.Integrate, test, and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic systems.Utilize Computer Aided Design tools such as Solidworks or NX/Unigraphics.Implement process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.Support both development and production programs.Write technical documentation including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and test plans.Handle and track systems for continuous material flow to manufacturing lines.Perform functional and environmental testing such as thermal, acoustic, or vibration testing.Essential Skills4+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or equivalent.1+ year of experience with integrating, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic systems.1+ year of experience with Computer Aided Design tools such as Solidworks or NX/Unigraphics.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.Experience from internships or college organizations related to the field.Technical writing experience for work instructions, standard operating procedures, and test plans.Experience with various automated manufacturing processes, including assembly and test methods.Familiarity with QTP/ATP, functional testing, and environmental testing such as thermal, acoustic, or vibe.Formal training or certification in Operational Excellence Systems (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma).Strong organizational, analytical, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Work Environment
This position is located onsite in Redmond. You will be working in a dynamic environment focused on building a satellite constellation.
Shift: 3-11pm and occasional weekends overtime.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $66.70 - $66.70
