As a Manufacturing Engineer in the Future Programmes Team you will develop Manufacturing plans to execute and implement solutions to new and novel requirements often in an ambiguous context. You will generate manufacturing processes and/or methods of manufacture, which are capable of meeting and continuing to meet business and customer requirements. You will utilise and create a broad network of contacts internal and external to Rolls-Royce during this endeavour and be expected to engage with the supply chain on a broader level to achieve relevant outputs through technical work package management.

What you will be doing:

Act as Technical Lead for smaller projects where required; ensuring work meets project requirements, within agreed budgets and timescales.Undertake guided engineering research work focused on manufacturing technology/manufacturing readiness levels (TRL/MRL), able to demonstrate industrial project delivery.This role will require involvement in all aspects of the project delivery including but not restricted to concept generation, detailed design, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, technical support of commissioning, awareness of project budget and deliverables.Ensure that manufacturing processes are in full compliance to Health, Safety & Environmental Standards and meet the expectations of the Zero Harm program. Work with interfacing teams and local experts to ensure technical aspects of manufacturing processes and digital systems are understood and accounted for as required.Responsible for self-development to meet the required competencies for the role and continuously seeking to expand knowledge and experience to increase effectiveness in undertaking existing and new activities

Associate degree in Engineering with Composites experience, ORBachelor's degree in Engineering with Composites experience, ORMaster's degree in Engineering, ORexperience in Manufacturing of CompositesExperience of operating manufacturing machinery

Preferred Requirements

Experience with the manufacture of Composites ComponentsExperience with technology development frameworks.Experience with tooling/fixture design and prototyping for manufacture.Experience in developing solutions from ambiguous and novel input data/requirements. Experience in Industrial Research and Technology Development TRL/MCRLExperience in a working with Manufacturing Technology Centres and research Centres.Experience in Supply chain setup OR general supplier interaction experience.Knowledge of Equipment maintenance, SOPs, Technical Instructions Proactive problem solver, able to demonstrate agility and flexibility in their approach and technical skill set
