The **Manufacturing Engineer** is part of the Operations team and reports to the Director Operations at the Belluno production plant. The position requires a strong focus on continuous improvement, automation, and digital transformation. The candidate will work closely with the team to introduce new technologies, support product design reviews, and achieve company goals in quality, safety, cost, and delivery.
Additionally, the role includes providing support to other Copeland facilities and suppliers to enhance manufacturing processes.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new products, capacity expansions, and cost optimization.
+ Identify, analyze, and resolve process issues related to tools, materials, and measurements.
+ Use financial analysis to estimate labor savings and justify project costs.
+ Improve process capability (Cpk) and operational efficiency (OEE) while meeting quality, safety, cost, and delivery standards.
+ Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize material and process flows.
+ Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement team, employing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
+ Support the digital transformation of the plant, including IoT machine integration and MOM/MES system implementation.
+ Prepare technical documentation for the various phases of new product development (NPD).
+ Continuously identify new technological opportunities to enhance manufacturing processes.
**Requirements:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ At least 3 years of experience as a process or manufacturing engineer.
+ Solid knowledge of automation in PCB manufacturing processes, including SMT, wave soldering, in-circuit testing, and functional testing.
+ Experience in drafting PFMEA and applying PPAP and SPC.
+ Competence in managing low-volume/high-mix and high-volume/low-mix processes.
+ Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and familiarity with AutoCAD (preferred but not mandatory).
+ Strong command of the English language.
+ Knowledge of ISO9001 standards and continuous improvement processes.
+ Proven experience in project management and planning tools.
