Job Summary:

If you are a Manufacturing Engineer looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an opening for you! Based in Dubai Flow Controls plant, you will join an engineering team providing support in development, and manufacturing of Fisher Control Valves. This manufacturing engineer role will contribute to the Organization's achieving Operational Completion, Engineering Perfection, and Digitalization and set high standards for HSE & Sustainability.
 

 In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Handle the New Item Activation Process, Data Maintenance, and ECRN (Engineering Change Request Notification) process in Oracle Establish Sales BOM, Manufacturing BOM, Routings and Non-standard work orders in Oracle Review and act on the Engineering requests raised by Purchase, Planning, Production, Quality and Stores team Support the Plant Quality by participating in MRB, RFT meetings and providing Engineering solutions Apply the Lean, 5S principle to all manufacturing systems, processes, and technologies Identify cost reductions and drive continuous improvements by using lean principles Drive Continuous and safety improvement programs in the Shop Floor Handle all the requests for equipment by identifying the suppliers and raising Purchase Requisitions in the system Build 2D drawings for the fabrication of fixtures. Construct 3D model and simulation for large fixtures Collaborate with Production team in crafting SOP’s, Work Instructions, Maintenance checklist, Risk Assessment for all shop floor activities  Implement manufacturing practices that are balanced, digitalized, and automated by using Industry 4.0 concepts Ensure the manufacturing assets and processes meet the ESH requirements and regulatory requirements set by Emerson, OSHA, ISO, and local laws Implement new processes using the MOC (Management of Change) process Identify the CAPEX Project requirements on yearly basis, raise Appropriation Requests (AR) in system and drive the project implementation until handover  Support the Operations team in setting up training programs for Product, Process and Machineries Implement the software used in all Machineries on a yearly basis Participate in safety audits and inspections, review all Operations Risk, and take appropriate actions in the form of Risk Assessments, Velocity Hazard logging
  Who You Are?

The Manufacturing Engineer will have a dual responsibility of working in the Product Engineering side as well as the Product Manufacturing side. The manufacturing engineering role will develop the individual to handle the creation of part numbers, BOM, Routings in the ERP system, gain product and process knowledge, develop design and simulations for tools and fixtures,  implement factory automation, digitalization, and lean projects in workplace to improve process efficiency, safety, and sustainability. 
 


 For This Role, You Will Need: 2 to 3 years’ experience in Manufacturing Environment with Mechanical/Instrumentation/Electrical Degree Hands-on experience in designing tools and fixture Ability to create 2D, 3D drawings in modelling software and conduct simulations for structural integrity Exposure to the manufacturing process and new technologies  Strong analytical skills and ability to address sophisticated problems
 
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Exposure to Industry 4.0 techniques like Automation, Machine Learning, IIOT, and Robotics Knowledge on 3D scanning and Additive & Lean Manufacturing practices  Knowledge on Control Valves and their manufacturing practices Experience in working with ERP system Strong ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings
