Under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Manufacturing Engineer plans and coordinates the manufacturing process, methods, and equipment to ensure maximum cost-effectiveness and quality. This includes tasks like identifying areas for improvement, developing new processes, implementing cost-saving measures, maintaining quality standards, and collaborating with other departments to resolve production issues; often utilizing CAD software and lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations.

• Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflow, space requirements, and equipment
• Improve production and efficiency across all processes
• Conduct time studies
• Participate in the development of new processes, equipment, and products
• Develop and implement cost-saving measures and quality control systems
• Develop processes for newly designed products in the manufacturing environment
• Develop ROI and business cases to support CAPEX proposals
• Prepare reports and documentation of research activity and results
Education:
• Bachelors Degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related degree required or equivalent experience
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years experience in engineering or related experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery
Skills and Abilities
• Knowledge of SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD
• Lean Six Sigma preferred
• CNC programming experience preferred
• Ability to self-manage multiple projects and priorities
• Ability to think strategically and understand business goals, plans, and objectives
• Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work as an individual or as a team player
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Detail oriented
• Strong organization and management skills
