As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the opportunity to analyze and troubleshoot facility layout and operational data to improve work efficiency. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by enhancing manufacturing efficiency and optimizing processes. The team you will be working with is collaborative and values diversity of thought and the challenging work environment. So, what will you be doing as a Manufacturing Engineer? • Assist in constructing samples for customer evaluation and approval • Coordinate engineering project activities with manufacturing, tooling, and testing to ensure timely completion • Analyze workforce utilization, facility layout, and operational data to optimize worker and equipment efficiency • Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing material waste by restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating workstations and equipment, and purchasing new equipment • Evaluate and implement feasible cost reduction ideas • Provide technical assistance to manufacturing, sales, and marketing teams • Establish work measurement programs and develop labor utilization standards • Monitor product pilot production runs to ensure products are produced and function as planned To be successful in this role, you’ll need: • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering • 3 years' experience in an Engineering or Research & Development environment • Proficiency in Windows operating environment, including email and Microsoft Office software • Basic statistical knowledge and ability to apply statistics to process improvement projects • Proven leadership and program management skills • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise influence without authority • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or an associated quality-based system • Strong decision-making and time management skills • Ability to read and understand various measuring devices (e.g., tape measure, micrometer) • Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Solid Works • Ability to perform root-cause analysis and problem-solving Things we consider a plus: • Experience with LPCS and other systems used in manufacturing • Experience in ergonomic assessments and environmental compliance • Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) What to Do Next Now that you’ve had a chance to learn more about us, what are you waiting for!
