Manufacturing Engineer

Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer will support the fabrication, manufacturing, and testing of electrolyser systems by optimizing production processes, ensuring manufacturability, and addressing technical challenges. This role involves working closely with the global network of fabricators, internal engineering teams, and suppliers to implement efficient and cost-effective manufacturing solutions. The Manufacturing Engineer will focus on improving manufacturing quality, reducing lead times, and ensuring smooth transition from design to production. The position requires a hands-on approach to resolving production issues, ensuring quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Provide technical support to the global fabrication network, troubleshooting production issues and providing solutions in real time. Manufacturability Feedback: Collaborate with design and engineering teams to provide feedback on product designs, ensuring manufacturability and ease of assembly. Work closely with external fabricators and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, resolve technical challenges, and align production processes. Gatekeeping the process of releasing materials from Windchill to the procurement department Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production throughput. Assist with prototype builds and small-scale production runs, providing feedback to engineering teams for design optimization on manufacturability, accessibility and maintainability. Work with the team to design, select, and optimize tools and equipment to ensure efficient and high-quality production. Create deliverables and training for production staff on best practices, manufacturing processes, and safety standards. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations in the manufacturing process and across all fabrication sites. Collaborate with testing teams to ensure that manufactured systems meet all performance and quality requirements before delivery
Level of Education / Experience
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or other relevant field

Authority:
In case of an acute safety threat you are required to cease the work activities, notify your manager directly and follow up all necessary action
Responsibility: - Taking training courses and using appropriate personal HSE measures (e.g., PPE’s)
- Cooperating on quality, health, safety, environment, and security improvements
- Reporting incidents potential danger, accidents, near misses, damage, fire, spills
- Act according to the Company Policy and Code of Conduct

Other Requirements
Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to quickly identify issues in manufacturing processes, systems, or equipment and provide effective, cost-efficient solutions.
Product lifecycle software: Experience with Windchill
Proactive & Results-Driven: A proactive mindset, seeking out opportunities for improvement and acting on them independently to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality.
Customer Focus: Understanding of how manufacturing decisions impact the overall customer experience and ability to ensure that production meets customer specifications and expectations.
