We currently have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience in Manufacturing Engineering and understand the planning and development of processes for thermoforming, composite bonding, light mechanical assembly, and coating operations.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare product inspection plansConduct internal and 3rd party auditsManage calibration systemAssure quality documentation and records are maintained and meet customer needsApprove suppliers, manage incoming inspections and lead supplier corrective action resolutionPerform root cause analysis and manage internal corrective and preventative actionsPrepare AS9102 First Article ReportsDrive continual improvementManage production planning to assure production staff is properly equipped with the methods, training, tools, and equipment necessary to meet the company’s quality and production goalsReview and evaluate product requests from customers for conformance to engineering principles, customer requirements, quality standards, and specificationsFormulate design to meet customer requirements and discuss proposal with customer representatives, engineers, and other personnelCreate shop travelers and work instructions for manufacturing operationsAssist with the design of tooling, fixtures, and shop aidsCoordinate technical aspects of sub-contract orders for tooling and outside processingPlan engineering methods for new products or projectsSet up part numbers, develop bills of material, routers, and complete requisitions for purchased and vendor partsFunction as the manufacturing project manager for all assigned areas and provide technical leadership to others as requiredConfer with vendors to determine product specifications, arrange for the purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standardsConfer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processesEstablish manufacturing policies in the areas of CI/Lean Manufacturing techniques, materials usage, shipping and receiving, capacity planning, production scheduling, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, and performance measurementsEssential Skills2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to read and interpret 2D CAD drawingsTroubleshooting/Tinkering experienceProcess Improvement / Continuous ImprovementAdditional Skills & QualificationsTrained internal auditor for an ISO9000 or AS9100 environment is a plusBilingual a plus but not requiredProficiency in SolidworksExperience with lean six sigmaExperience in data review and new product development
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $43.27/hr.
