Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. **Raytheon** is looking for a **Manufacturing Engineer** in support of the Global ISR Sensors and Software business, located **ONSITE in Westford, MA.** **What You Will Do** + This individual will design and develop manufacturing processes for products, taking into consideration problems inherent in the transfer of technology from research to manufacturing. + Design and development may include new or revised processes. + Develops procedures for the economical mass production in cooperation with pilot-plant and production departments. + Conducts tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over applicable variables; and services, troubleshoots and solves production process problems with processes or equipment already in operation. + Produce machine parts by programming, assembling, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) or manual machine (Lathes, Mills, Grinders, and other specialized CNC and manual machines). + Design, control, and improve the manufacturing process through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team + Implement manufacturing process control and performance monitoring + Create and oversee improvement projects + Translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes + Perform hardware defect analysis + Participate in corrective action investigations **Qualifications You Must Have** + Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field. + Experience producing machine parts by programming, assembling, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) or manual machine (Lathes, Mills, Grinders, and other specialized CNC and manual machines). + Experience with interpretation of technical documentation (i.e. Engineering drawings and specifications) + Experience with the creation of work instructions in a manufacturing environment + Experience with a shop floor management system (i.e. SAP, PRISM, ERP, MRP, or similar manufacturing software) + Experience with lean manufacturing and project execution + The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
