Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description Provide daily support to manufacturing operations and related support teams to ensure technically correct manufacturing and product flow. This role aims to assure the necessary quality, on-time delivery (OTD), and production costs. You will work cross-functionally with operations, quality, design engineering, and other teams to define manufacturing work instructions, equipment, tools, materials, and training. Responsibilities + Provide daily support to manufacturing operations and related support teams. + Work cross-functionally to define manufacturing work instructions, equipment, tools, materials, and training. + Utilize project management techniques/tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements. + Play a key role in the non-conformance process, securing measures for root cause analyses, corrective, and preventive measures. + Support continuous improvements in manufacturing processes to meet customer quality, cost, and demand requirements. + Establish and provide necessary documentation for strategic operations and customer programs. + Proactively support and coach production technicians through frontline support using an integrated project team approach. + Provide training materials (both software and hardware) as needed. + Establish standard work practices across manufacturing to eliminate waste and increase productivity. + Develop and verify new jigs, tooling, equipment, parts, and processes to meet requirements. + Actively participate in the change management process related to manufacturing processes, driving and implementing process/design changes. + Collaborate with international colleagues to evaluate, improve, and transfer latest state processes, maintaining standardization across the company portfolio. Essential Skills + Manufacturing engineering experience (3-5 years) + Experience with composites (layups, repairs) + Understanding of quality and non-conformance disposition + Proficiency with SAP + Proficiency with CAD, specifically CATIA + Experience with MRO + Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with project management techniques/tools + Strong cross-functional teamwork and communication skills + Ability to provide training and develop training materials + Experience in continuous improvement processes + Experience in developing and verifying jigs, tooling, equipment, parts, and processes Work Environment This role is based onsite in Decatur, AL. The work environment includes collaborating with various departments, utilizing advanced manufacturing technologies, and following standard work practices to enhance productivity and quality. The position requires a professional approach to managing production means and improvements, ensuring on-time delivery and readiness of manufacturing equipment and documents.
