Manufacturing Engineer
MAU is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for our client in Wilmington, NC. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, ensure quality standards, coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams, maintain equipment, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production performance and reduce costs. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Benefits Package Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid vacation Paid holidays Paid time off Shift Information Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Education and Experience A two- or four-year degree in a related field AND 2+ years of proven manufacturing engineering experience Experience with new line start-ups is a plus General Requirements Strong understanding of LEAN Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies Proven experience in continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction strategies Proficiency in Fusion 360 programming Essential Functions Develop, evaluate, and enhance manufacturing processes based on product requirements Analyze workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow to maximize efficiency Design equipment and workspace layouts to optimize efficiency while ensuring alignment with product specifications Develop and maintain Operator Work Instructions (OWI), Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA), and support the creation of Quality Work Instructions (QWI) and the Quality Control Plan (CP) by ISO 9001:2015 Ensure product and process quality by designing and implementing testing methods, validating process capabilities, and establishing manufacturing standards Work closely with planning and design teams to refine product designs and tooling for efficient production Engage with suppliers to determine equipment specifications and facilitate the procurement of necessary materials, parts, and machinery Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repairs, following manufacturer guidelines, and arranging specialized services as needed Estimate production times, staffing needs, and associated costs to support management decision-making Collaborate with management, engineering, and production teams to align manufacturing capabilities with production schedules and operational goals Lead and support Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) initiatives to reduce costs, enhance process robustness, and improve product quality
