Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: 100 Whaler Way Edgewater, FL 32141
Job Description: Plan the practices of manufacturing and develop tools, processes, and equipment to increase productivity and reduce operational cost through reengineering of our boat manufacturing processes. Create boat manufacturing standards using VKS systems. Create and identify engineering change request and design changes. Conduct time studies and line balancing to optimize production line within high mix low volume manufacturing. Analyze manufacturing processes using industrial engineering tools and techniques. Conduct different industrial engineering studies and analysis such as manpower forecasts, capacity analysis, and resource leveling. Assist in the implementation and utilization of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and methodologies. Study and analyze variation in critical manufacturing processes. Assist in new model integration activities. Implement new technology and equipment into manufacturing processes. Assist with MES software development and serve as implementation administrator. Perform 2D and 3D part modelling using NX CAD. Develop labor estimates for new product development. Complete data collection and analysis for the purpose of further refining labor estimates.

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering.
Experience Requirement: 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineer or industrial engineer.
Special Skills: Must have work experience with each of the following: (1) Create boat manufacturing standards using VKS systems; (2) Create and identify engineering change request and design changes within boat manufacturing; (3) Conduct time studies and line balancing to optimize production line within high mix low volume manufacturing; and (4) Perform 2D and 3D part modelling using NX CAD.
