Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and optimizing manufacturing processes and systems to improve production efficiency, quality, and safety. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with the Production, Continuous Improvement, and Sales teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that enhance manufacturability, reduce costs, and improve overall product quality. The Manufacturing Engineer is expected to lead change, contribute new ideas, and find innovative methods to accomplish the company's goals.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and lower production costs.Design and improve part fixturing, tools, equipment, and systems used in manufacturing.Collaborate with the teams to provide feedback on product designs that may impact manufacturing processes.Analyze production data and identify opportunities to optimize manufacturing operations.Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality control procedures.Troubleshoot and resolve issues with manufacturing processes or equipment.Monitor and improve product quality by conducting inspections, testing, fit ups, and analyzing products during New Product Development and production.Implement lean manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement strategies.Create and maintain detailed documentation for processes, procedures, and equipment.Develop plant layouts to optimize production.Essential SkillsTwo to five years' experience in a manufacturing engineering role or equivalent professional experience.Strong manufacturing knowledge of sheet metal (laser and bending), structural steel (cutting and machining), and welding processes, techniques, systems, and equipment.Proficient in CAD software (Solid Edge, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD).Additional Skills & QualificationsMetal experience is preferred.Experience in process improvement and continuous improvement strategies.Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.Experience with Solidworks and tooling.Work Environment

This individual will be out on the floor on a regular basis to investigate equipment and manufacturing processes to determine if they are operating correctly. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $33.65/hr.
