Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
Analyze manufacturing process flows continually for the improvements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
Collaborate with design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effectual production methods.
Apply statistical methods and perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
Design, install and commission new production units, monitor modifications and upgrades, and troubleshoot existing processes.
Ensure all manufacturing safety regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at all times.
Sustain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers.
Coordinate with customers, management, and other stakeholders to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve production issues.
Lead and manage product quality improvement efforts.
Participate in team meetings, providing input and suggestions for improvements, and presenting information on new technologies or equipment that may enhance the manufacturing process.
Ensure all equipment is maintained appropriately and coordinate maintenance and repair services.
Stay current with product specifications, engineering technology and production processes.
