Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Engineer, under general supervision, will maintain, improve, and optimize manufacturing processes in support of the CO-RE tip division, which handles consumables molding for Hamilton’s liquid handling systems.

Troubleshoot production floor issues and implement corrective actions to mechanical, electrical, vision, and software systems.Identify and execute production improvement projects from concept to implementation.Write and execute IQOQPQ protocols to qualify new equipment and processes.Provide Design-For-Manufacturing input to R&D Engineering on new design concepts.Demonstrate competency with the company’s internal systems (ECO’s, IS, MRP and CAD software etc.).Maintain assembly documentation and production routings.Assist Quality Engineering with root cause analysis for customer complaints.Plan and execute testing to ensure adequate performance of assembly processes and tooling.Responsible for compliance of manufacturing processes to performance, regulatory, and safety standards.Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to effectively prioritize projects and manage time independently.Enthusiastic, cooperative, and positive attitude.Strong technical understanding of mechanics, and electromechanical equipment, with ability to troubleshoot, determine root cause, develop and implement corrective actions.Excellent written and oral communication skills. Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or similar Engineering.3+ years’ experience in high-volume manufacturing.Certifications or experience in lean manufacturing.Experience with automation, PLC programming, vision systems, and/or software programming, preferred.Experience with injection molding, preferred.
