**Description**
SAIC is seeking a **Manufacturing Engineer Associate** in **Indianapolis, IN** .
The Manufacturing Engineer Associate:
+ Develops, implements, and maintains methods, operation sequence, and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
+ May design arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
+ Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
+ May estimate manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.
+ Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
+ May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
+ Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
+ Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.
+ Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
+ Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
+ Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations including Manufacturing Bill of Materials.
**Qualifications**
**Required Education/Experience:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering preferred. Will accept experience in lieu of a degree.
+ Must be able to read ASME engineering drawings
+ Must be able to work and communicate with a team and use common office, EDA, programming and PLM tools.
+ Should possess working knowledge and skill level for mechanical CAD, drawing interpretation, and Microsoft office tools.
+ Must be a US Citizen
