International Corporation, a leading North American truck manufacturer with great products, a strong market position and best-in-class distribution network, has an exciting new opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer - Battery EOL Systems to join our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Team at our Advanced Technology Center in Elmendorf, TX just outside of San Antonio.


The Manufacturing Engineer - Battery EOL Systems will support the development of manufacturing processes, particularly in the high voltage battery area, and will be responsible for planning, coordinating and carrying out all Project related activities (Ex: PreStudy, Equipment Specification, RFQ, Procurement phase, Factory + Site acceptance test, Commissioning, Trials, SOP etc) for the EOL equipment modification and battery management software system. Travel can be up to 50% at any Navistar plants in US, Mexico, Europe and Asia.

Responsibilities Support product development (R&D) on product concepts.Influence design to ensure manufacturability and DFA Lead role in resolving battery End of Line Testing issues.Work cross functionally to support manufacturing initiatives and best practices Contribute to the development and improvement of quality control processes and procedures by working in sync withQuality, EOL Engineers and R&D Develop, implement, and optimize end-of-line testing processes for high voltage battery manufacturing Develop associated assembly/testing equipment and tooling designs. Lead select projects from concept thru procurement, installation, and commissioning. Standardize manufacturing processes by benchmarking other facilities’ manufacturing processes and integration of best practices and standards into new process development. Assist with development of project workplans, timelines, and resource requirements Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testing procedures meet quality and safety standards Analyze test data and provide feedback to improve battery performance and reliability Represents manufacturing on cross-functional and cross brand teams. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to testing equipment, processes, and battery management software Train and support production staff on testing procedures, equipment, and software Maintain and update testing documentation, protocols, and software Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degreeAt least 5 years of experience in product manufacturing

Master’s degreeAt least 3 years of experience in product manufacturing

OR

At least 7 years of experience in product manufacturing Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills EV battery assembly experience highly desired. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Unigraphics or NX highly desired MS Project or other project management software Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, is preferred Experience with automated tooling design and procurement, and robotic systems is highly desired Experience with laser welding systems, electronics assembly systems and battery quality testing a plus.
