Manufacturing Engineer - Dental Furniture

Overview

Performs basic manufacturing engineering assignments with the application of standard manufacturing engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria for the improvement of existing processes and the introduction of new manufacturing products and processes.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Performs manufacturing engineering assignments of basic complexity under direction and supervision with limited latitude for independent action and decision. Participates in the development, planning, and completion of assigned manufacturing engineering projects. Completes defined projects as part of a team or department to support the performance goals of the production process.Prepares plans, process specifications and procedures, production aids and assembly fixtures, MRP support studies, factory cost work standards and similar assignments.Conducts analyses or tests of a routine degree of complexity pertaining to the development of new methods, materials, processes or standards and provides recommendations accordingly.Makes suggestions and leads improvements to A-dec’s products and work processes based on technical knowledge and utilization of basic project management methods.Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred or combined equivalent of education and experience.Demonstrates skills suitable for application and interpretation of basic manufacturing engineering principles, theories, and concepts, including proficiency in CAD.Demonstrates good organizational skills and the ability to manage time and resources effectively.Ability to work independently as well as on a team.Ability to effectively communicate in oral, written, and graphical form.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise maneuver up to 35 pounds with or without assistance on a routine basis. Must have manual hand dexterity to grasp, operate tools and equipment repetitively. Able to walk, stand, sit, bend, reach, and occasionally kneel, climb steps, and twist throughout an entire shift. Some areas may be exposed to chemicals, noise, vibration and /or dust, and require the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); such as, but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, foot protection, etc.
