As Manufacturing Engineer Machining (f/m/d), you will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering New make team in the gas turbine hot gas parts department and give technical support to the production and engineering teams.
Through process and cost optimization, you will maintain the competitiveness of organization and drive results for our customers.

What you’ll do

Process owner responsibility for Laser Drilling, Brazing, Heat Treatment and Assembly processesTechnical point of contact for process qualification, Frozen process changes and production issuesLead process development, qualification, and technical documentation creation for such processes on components under your responsibilityImplement initiatives that improve overall production safety, quality, delivery, and cost for all relevant processesCoaching, mentoring, supporting junior team membersUse data to analyze process capability, identify improvements and ensure process stability to improve overall qualityLife Cycle management of all internal post cast processes on gas turbine partsProvide technical support to RCA/8Ds and execute CAPA implementation tasks

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

Engineering Bachelor’s Degree in a suitable discipline or equivalent knowledge and experienceKnowledge of Laser drilling of cooling holes on precision casted nickel-based superalloysExperience in a manufacturing, operations, HGP engineering environmentDemonstrated experience in Laser drilling, additional knowledge in Brazing, Heat-Treatment and Assembly are an advantageKnowledge of Lean/continuous improvement methodsFluent in both German and English
