The Manufacturing Engineer I plays a crucial role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, and manufacturing methods for new and existing products within an ISO13485 regulated environment. The ideal Manufacturing Engineer I develops solutions to problems using basic engineering principles, concepts, and theories that drive cost reductions and efficiency improvements. On average, this role is responsible for up to $300k in CapEx over 1 – 5 yearly projects.

A successful Manufacturing Engineer I drives the execution of all assigned projects ensuring all deliverables are met and on time. They collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align on project goals, KPIs, and timelines. Additionally, they support continuous improvement and optimization efforts, by assessing equipment, tooling, and product specifications to ensure proper function.

Lastly, the Manufacturing Engineer I also supports the implementation of new products, new equipment, design changes, qualifications, and validations, all while upholding Saint Gobain’s principles and QMS requirements.
