MANUFACTURING ENGINEER I/II
Primary responsibilities in manufacturing are to drive department and enterprise key initiatives through continuous process improvement, improving customer satisfaction, reducing waste, increasing efficiency, and eliminating variation in manufacturing processes. Candidates for this position should have energy and passion to improve both our production and functional processes while leading with integrity.


JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:

Partner with operations, RD&I, quality, maintenance, and supply chain functions to drive improvements Support of fabrication and assembly operations focused on improving Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost Work closely with production supervisors, team leads, and production employees to perform problem solving and root cause analysis Lead continuous improvement projects aligned to lean manufacturing principles Lead cost reductions and yield improvements with delivery partners Utilize sound project management tools for complex projects and key initiatives Improve equipment capability and reliability Identify opportunities for error proofing and implement solutions Respond to day-to-day production needs such as equipment troubleshooting and quality concerns Manage the design, procurement, and startup of capital equipment projects Develop operator balance charts, machine balance charts, and staffing playbooks for assembly work cells Partner with ongoing product development team to implement product design changes and line extensions Be highly visible within the value stream to create a safe environment for collaboration and participation Promote a hands-on, high involvement approach to problem solving

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

4-year degree in Engineering or Technology Open to varying levels of experience, 3-5+ years preferred Equipment procurement experience preferred Strong project management skills Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles Strong knowledge of quality systems, SPC and process capability  Positive attitude with a desire to build relationships and serve both our internal and external customers Strong, proactive communicator, effective both 1:1 and in groups


COMPENSATION:

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn between $77,255 - $119,745 annually.
