How will you make a difference?

As a member of the Manufacturing Engineering Team, you will be responsible for a variety of manufacturing engineering assignments, which include applying statistical methods for future manufacturing requirements while driving solutions.

The ideal candidate will perform a variety of manufacturing engineering assignments including developing, evaluating and improving manufacturing methods within an industrial plant. Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.  Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.  Train technical as well as non-technical associates

What do we want to know about you?

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year College or university; or three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

What will your typical day look like?

Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.Review and analysis of space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.Train technical as well as non-technical associates. Assist others through moderate to complex tasks.Responsible for global lean systems and ensuring effective standardization of lean methodologies.Confers with design staff concerning product design while designing new tooling, and modern processes to ensure efficient production methods.Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.

You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

While this position is remote, it may include occasional work at a Wabtec office/site or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
