What You Will Do:

The Manufacturing Engineer II will identify and implement process optimization & control methods to eliminate and prevent quality turn backs /escapes and reduce overall product costs.

As a key member of the Integrated Product Team (IPT), the Manufacturing Engineer II will have significant interaction with product designers, tool designers, quality assurance, systems designers, and other stakeholders is required

Use statistical analysis tools to perform Root cause analysis and corrective actions on non-conforming product

Drive targeted manufacturing process optimization activities through MRL tools such as Value Stream Mapping and Process Flow Diagram, PFMEA, Control Plans, Measurement Systems Analysis, Yield & Cost (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) curves and Qualification plan

Work with senior management to support the project pipeline process to select, prioritize and scope projects to business objectives, integrated with other continuous improvement activities and CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence) initiatives.

Schedule and facilitate periodic project reviews and ensure validation of MRL gate advancements

Use scorecards and metrics effectively to ensure progress; lead significant projects critical to improve manufacturing process capability & quality performance.

Qualifications You Must Have: 

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related technical or physical science discipline with a minimum 2 years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, project management or similar industrial environment

Experience using Microsoft Office

Secret Clearance OR be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance within a 6 month period

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
