Major Responsibilities:
Process Development: Develop, implement, and optimize gear cutting and hobbing processes to ensure efficient and high-quality production.Technical Expertise: Provide technical support and guidance on gear manufacturing techniques, including machining, hobbing, shaping, and grinding.Quality Assurance: Ensure all gear manufacturing processes meet quality standards and specifications. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for any quality issues.Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of gear cutting and hobbing equipment. Work with maintenance teams to ensure minimal downtime.Training & Development: Mentor and train junior engineers and production staff on gear manufacturing processes and best practices.Project Management: Lead and manage projects related to gear manufacturing, including new product introductions and process upgrades.Collaboration: Work closely with design, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of gear manufacturing processes.Review and ensure that all production processes are properly documented using the official standards for ISO system. Identify documents that need to be updated and document all new process implemented.Required Education / Experience / Skills:
Industrial Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Mechatronic Engineer, Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience (3-5 years’ experience)Self-directed, proactive, decision taker.Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma within 3 years.Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool designFamiliarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques, blueprints, tolerances and results interpretations.Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulationsWell-versed in relevant software (e.g. Master cam, Solidworks, Gcode, MS Office)Problem-solving abilityTeamwork skillsAbility to work late shifts and role.Knowledge of advanced product quality planning (APQP) and production part approval process (PPAP).Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.Travel:
