Job Description

Danfoss in Loves Park, IL has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer Intern. This intern will work with manufacturing engineers and production maintenance on projects which quality, productivity and delivery and improve uptime on equipment.

Job Responsibilities

 

Completing Root Cause Problem Solving tasks  Design, fabricate and utilize 3D printing with Solid Modeling  Improve level of 5S on factory floor  Deploy lean initiatives throughout the factory  Assist Manufacturing Engineers with their daily tasks  Assist Production Maintenance with daily tasks

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:

Pursuing a degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering or similar technology degree.   Ability to do physical work and use mechanical tools for construction or alterations of current equipment.  Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English.  Ability to work with mathematical concepts used for LEAN processes.  Computer knowledge including CAD, Solid Modeling, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.  Ability to work in fast-paced atmosphere  Desire and dedication to be a key contributing member of a hardworking team  Initiative, flexibility in working weekends if needed, and ability to work independently  Professional demeanor  Employee Benefits
