Production Development Specialist Leader
Your role and responsibilitiesAs an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.The work model for the role is: onsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification Business.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tDevelops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the man-ufacturing of sub-assemblies and final assemblies•\tEstimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines•\tMaintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations•\tDevelops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabil-ities, assembly methods, and quality control standards•\tImplements and analyzes manufacturing engineering plans and projects•\tDevelops manufacturing engineering plans and strategies for specific products and processes•\tSupports the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate stand-ards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life•\tInstalls manufacturing process systems and conducts production qualification, forecasts and manages manufacturing process capital assets•\tDevelops, designs, procures, and constructs manufacturing process hardware, fixturing tools, software, and work environment•\tUsing lean concepts acts as a project engineer to implement cost reduction efforts•\tSupports quality initiatives using six sigma methodology to determine extent of non-conformance root cause, and corrective action
Qualifications for the role\tCurrently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Manufacturing, Industrial Systems, Mechanical, Electrical or Systems Engineering or related fields in the United States. \tIntern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite. \tMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future. \tUtilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions\tEffectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet in the United States. \tIntern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite. \tMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future. \tUtilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions\tEffectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines\tDemonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslydeadlines\tDemonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality\tCollaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.
