Location Description The Post Consumer Brands plant in Asheboro, NC is the newest addition to the company's network, featuring some of the most modern cereal production technology in the industry and the facility has quadrupled in size since it opened in 2007. Asheboro's 230+ team members produce some of our newest and most innovative cereals, like Oreo O's cereal! While there is plenty to do right in Asheboro, the town is only a few hours from the Atlantic Ocean in one direction and the Blue Ridge Mountains in the other direction. Owns and drives long-range packaging equipment and operational performance improvement plans. Technical owner of packaging operating parameters, centerline processes, and packaging equipment design & layout. Responsibilities: Lead efforts to improve the performance of packaging equipment & operations. Identify and recommend new and innovative equipment technologies in support of operational improvement initiatives. Manage capital projects from scoping and funding through implementation and start-up. Provide daily support to sustain current operational performance targets for safety, quality, yield, rate, and efficiency. Qualifications EDUCATION: 4-year degree in engineering. Mechanical engineering with design experience preferred. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in primary and secondary packaging operations. Ideal experience to include vertical and horizontal form fill and seal machines, cartoners, case erectors, case packers, and sealers, robotic operations, and all forms of package conveying. Experience in the consumer packaged goods industry, food manufacturing preferred. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience in organizing and managing projects. Ideal candidate would be skilled in the use of 2D/3D CAD software. Strong analytical skills. Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to solve highly complex problems and prioritize actions promptly.
