Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing supplier readiness and quality, analyzing drawing quality for production, investigating digital tools and methods, and ensuring overall quality in our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supplier Readiness and Quality Assessment:
* Evaluate supplier capabilities and readiness to meet production rates and quality standards.
* Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry and company standards.
* Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
* Develop and maintain supplier quality metrics and performance reports.
* Drawing Quality Analysis:
* Review and analyze engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturability.
* Provide feedback to design teams to improve drawing quality and ensure alignment with production capabilities.
* Ensure that all drawings meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Digital Tools and Methods Investigation:
* Investigate and implement digital tools and technologies to improve manufacturing processes.
* Analyze current manufacturing methods and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate digital solutions into the production workflow.
* Quality Assurance and Control:
* Develop and implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure product quality.
* Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
* Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Process Improvement:
* Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in the aviation industry.
* Strong knowledge of supplier quality assessment and management.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
* Experience with digital tools and technologies used in manufacturing.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
